On May 5, Prof. Grant Guilford, Vice-Chancellor of Victoria University of Wellington (VUW), New Zealand, Prof. Roberto Rabel, Pro Vice-Chancellor, International, and the VUW delegation visited XMUT and met with President Prof. Chen Wenzhe ,Vice President Prof. Zhao Zhenxiang and department heads relevant for more mutually beneficial collaboration.
A Supplementary Agreement on Joint Degree Programmes between XMUT and VUW and an Articulation Agreement for Professional Accounting Programs between XMUT and VUW were established. Excellent students of XMUT will now have opportunities to enroll in a world top 50 and triple-accredited business school in VUW and receive a Master’s degree from VUW. Meanwhile, the two universities held in-depth discussion on deepening academic and research collaboration, and partnership in establishing a cooperative institution for join education.
During the visit, VUW visitors attended the Dialogue with World-Renowned University Presidents, the launch ceremony of XMUT Month of Academic and Cultural Exchange, and had wonderful dialogues with XMUT students and faculty on Leadership. They focused on themes of respect, responsibility, courage, innovation and creativity, and encouraged us XMUT students to take responsibility, build courage, open up new horizons, innovate our thinking, and strive to fulfill our goals of university learning and future careers.
